New Visual Project

Today I make a interesting billboard about protect the wild squirrals. Everybody know the winter in Chicago is cold enough that a small part of wild squirral died without food and weather. Therefore, please give the a nuts that you can save a life! Secondly, I am so interested in making a magazine cover. I select a rare animals picture and write the title, date, price and chapters.Moreover,I haven`t done it before! Thirdly, this is a movie poster-"American Captain"! Meanwhile, it is my favorite sci-fi movie.I choose a layout at first and this kind of layout is called thin vertical frames.Then I choose the color of backgrand and border.Next I adapt the space between imagine.Last I pick four photos. Fourthly, I want to show a mosaic. In addition, the pictuares aslo come from a famous sci-fi movie"Hobbiten". Finally, there is a CD box design. Absolutely it is also new for me. Music is a good way to relax. However, do you pay attention on your CD design? In fact, I love beautiful CD box design more than the simple one. You can communicate with them for the coming summer vocation. Meanwhile, they will give you some essential advice. In conclusion, I enjoy traveling but I do not have enough money. Therefore, I can watch the travel viedo and come with travelers. Finally,this food network is an American basic cable television channel which shows the best recipe ideas, videos, healthy eating advice, party ideas and cooking techniques from top chefs. It is very useful for me because I like cooking and I am the cook in my family. Movie Genre-Comedy Movie

Comedy Movie is a kind of movie genre which I like most. The main characters of comedy movie are humor, according to real life and having a happy end. Moreover, the silent comedy movie started in the 1930s and the black comedy movie popular in the 1970s. Meanwhile, I want to introduce the most famous comedy actor in the past and his name is Charlie Chaplin! His first feature-length movie was "The Kid" which made me laugh for whole day. Furthermore, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd also very famous in this century. One of the major developments of the 1990s was the the romantic comedy film and the name is "When Harry Met Sally". Moreover, there are several TV shows like the Weather Man, Broken Flowers and Shopgirl in this century.

Reflection Process Speech

Process speech is the most interesting speech that we had in last month. The reason is that we had different topics and we need to prepare all materials to class. In this speech, we need to demonstrate a process and provide clear and logical instructions. According to my topic-How to open a coconut, I had three steps. First of all, my partner introduced and welcomed me to audiences. Secondly, I prepared a brown coconut, a hammer, a nail and a straw. Then I and my partner used hummer to hummer the nail until drill a hole. Finally, I put a straw in the hole and drank it. I like this speech that it is more interesting because everyone have their own topics. After I saw my classmates` speech, I got some new ideas to improve my speech. One is I need to organize the content more attractive and informative. Another is I should use more accurate and high level vocabulary. In conclusion, I got more new ideas from my classmates and they all show an awesome speech. From that, I can improve my speech level and make it better and better.

Unit Reflection 3

      This is the third impression reflection which about movies and interviews.

      First of all, we had a fascinating interview with my partner who acted the famous movie star Jio. I pretended the interviewer and Elisa assumed Jio. We had a good welcome as a real one and then I asked different personal questions. Secondly, I made an interview with a man about movies and his travel experience. He told me he liked science-fiction movie most and introduced me to see his favorite film. Later I asked where he travelled last holiday. He said he went to Thailand with his wife and ate local meal-hot pot. In fact, he was not really like to eat it. Thirdly, I made a movie record about The Day After Tomorrow and uploaded it on YouTube. It`s the first time I transferred it on website. Because I wanted to make it better, I practice many times. Fourthly, we wrote different worksheet include genre, movie industry, list of groups and crossword puzzle. We work in groups and asked the others` help. In addition, we read Tyler Perry`s money machine from textbook and finished worksheet. Oh, it`s a little hard for me because there`s some new vocabularies that I had never remembered. Therefore, I checked them on internet dictionary and read this article more than five times. Then, we listened 151 movies interview. Oh, that`s difficult! They spoke too fast to listen clearly. In fact, I repeated to listen many times. Finally, I composted my first movie poster and the topic was The Life of Husky. It`s a exciting work that I really love it! Absolutely, I want to see my classmates` work!

      Actually, I prefer this unit than the others because movie is the favorite part in my life. It makes us comfortable, relax and joyful. Therefore, I am so happy to learn this unit.

GooseChase activity reflection

GooseChase is a very interesting softwork which our teacher suggested us to have one. Also,we had a GooseChase activity in the last class. We took different photos,such as Gitte`s favorite photo,look down photo and technology photo etc.Two people in one team and everyone showed different photos.Some were so funny but the most funny part was Gitte`s favorite photo.Classmates took variety of thing which they thought Gitte would like.At the end,Dahoom and Kris`s team was the winner and they won a box of donuts.

Reflection of Unit 2

This is the second unit about pop culture. We read textbook, wrote essay, listened Mixer, had speech and watched movies. It`s a really good week. First of all, we read guide: Introduction to Students. It`s from our textbook and I knew the definition of popular culture. Also, I got pop culture was made up of objects, people, events, and places. After I read the content and checked the website, I knew objects were like rap songs and TV shows; People was like Harry potter; Events was like the Super Bowl and places were like shopping malls and Hollywood. Aha! That`s very interesting, right? Secondly, we finished a mini fad report from www.crazyfads.com. It`s a special website which told me the popular things from different decades. For example, ant farm was famous in the 1950s. People liked to take a real ants’ farm in a glass framed box and they said it was very funny. Thirdly, we thought about stars, such as movie stars, sports stars, and TV shows stars. Also, our teacher gave us different websites to show what makes a star. She gave us 5 example include Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and etc. Besides that, we thought about our pop stars. Definitely, my pop star is Marlon Brando. I made a presentation of him and had a speech. After that, I knew Marlon Brando was not only an America actor, but also a film director. He won twice of Academy Award for playing. And he was called the most important people of the century. What`s more, we prepared team work and my part is describe the fad movie, technology as well as sports in the 2000s. Our group made on prezi.com. Fourthly, we sought many different resources about pop culture students. I went to blackboard and found 3 folders. In addition, I watched “Major Theorists”, “Media Theory Sites” and I also wrote the questions from paper. Moreover, I watched 9 minutes video and wrote some notes. Then, I finished team portfolio and review midterm. I found them from blackboard. Finally, we listened a radio about how to make a conversation. It`s included how to start, how to continue and how to end the conversation. In addition, we watched a famous biographical film called Ray and wrote a review. I did not know that blog was so interesting before and I put my movie review record on my blog. It`s a interesting unit which attracted my eyes. The special thing was that I never ever felt nervous when I had a speech. That`s a good news, right? I became more confident than before and I believe I will be more and better in the future.
